Meet Holly's New FurPups!

Holly was rescued from a local shelter and had puppies (four boys and three girls) on Friday, Jan. 6th.

Here are the puppies at three weeks. Their eyes are open and they are starting to walk (or tumble.) They weigh about one pound, are sweet, adorable and all puppy love! The puppies appear to have hair, not fur, like their Mom. Over the next few weeks, as their hair grows, we may have a better idea of what they are mixed with - for now, it's obvious that they are mixed with cuteness.

We are now accepting applications for the puppies. Approved adopters can begin to meet them in early Feb. and bring them home in early March. We will continue to post new photos every week.

Healing FurKids

My name is Billy and I'm a little guy with a bit of a challenge. You see my previous owners were not very careful about my 'whereabouts' and I got out and was hit by a car. They didn't even look for me which made me sad - but things are now looking up! I became a FurKid officially on Sat. and I'm scheduled for surgery on Wed. A very special doctor (I think they said he was an orthopedic surgeon but to me he's just a nice guy) will be operating on me. He says that I will heal and be good as new in a few months.

My name is Nicholas and I have quite a story to tell. Let me start by telling you I am a miracle! And that is a testament to my spirit, determination and the amazing care that my foster mom Danna gives me every day.

You see I was hit by a car on Dec. 16th, dragged for several blocks and thrown into a dumpster. But I was determined to be heard – and to get another chance – so I got lucky that rainy day and became a FurKid.

Now that my legs have healed I am making my way in the world. Mom says I am a real trooper, never complain about anything, whimper or cry. Instead I have this happy smile on my face and I make a game and fun out of anything. Read more »
