Here are furkids currently in foster care and ready to meet Forever Families. Since all of our pups are in loving foster homes, as we get to know their personalities and needs, we can then write their bios. If you do not see a story for a particular dog, that means he or she has just recently become a furkid. When we know more about those furkids, we will write their bios.

Since our foster moms and dads have the 'first right of adoption' many times they decide to adopt the furkid they are fostering. If you are interested in fostering (so that you have the right of first adoption), please email .

Please also remember that with bichons, it is about chemistry, more than gender! More males are born, therefore, more come in to rescue. There are probably as many dominant females as there are submissive males. Most males are not leg lifters (many still squat like females) and belly bands take care of that challenge quickly and easily. The bigger challenge we have is that many bichons need another bichon or other dog, as well as human companions. Most of our furkids cannot be 'only children.' When you read the bios you will see which dogs can live with only human companions. With bichons it is all about chemistry - chemistry with you, with other dogs and other breeds!

	Jodie Female - Young My name is Jodie and I am a darling little bichon girl of 18 months. I’m nine pounds of soon-to-be fluffiness, who is great with other dogs and cats – and with both big and little people. I’m a natural greeter who believes everyone I meet is my next friend. And they usually are! Mom says that, as cute as I am, I’m also very loving. While I love to play with my foster fur friends (both dogs and cats), I also love to sit on your lap, love to be petted and love to snuggle. 	Grady Male - Young I’m Grady, one of the newest additions to the FurKid family and boy am I happy to be here! I’m a sweet and somewhat shy little guy of about one and, well, let me tell you more about me and what makes me special. You see, my previous living situation was…..let’s just say very overcrowded. There were a lot of us dogs and the conditions were less-than-wonderful. 	Sammy Male - Young I’m Sensational, sweet and sociable Sammy - and it is a pleasure to meet you. I’m a fun-loving and happy three year old bichon who is amazingly playful and cuddly. I’m also the perfect bichon weight (15 pounds if you please.) Currently I live in a wonderful foster home with doggy foster brother and sister FurKids who love having me around. 	Haley Female - Young I'm Haley, a sweet, lively and lovable little girl of about two. My Mom says I’m so happy that I smile - and get along with everyone! I love big people, small people and other furkids. Mom’s not sure how I would be with elephants and giraffes (or cats) but she thinks I would probably just be the sweet little girl that I am! 	Bentley Male - Young My name is Bentley and I’m an amazingly handsome little Bichon of about three and one half or four. I love other dogs, adults, walks and rides in the car. 	Jessica Female - Adult My name is Jessica -- and I’m a beautiful, mellow and very sweet Bichon girl of a certain age (eight years young, that is.) I’m lovable, smart, gentle and very cute. (I’m not bragging, honest – that’s what Mom and my BFK Aunties tell me!) I have all the charms of a Bichon, while also being very easy to be around. 	Charlie Male - Adult My name is Charlie and my Mom says I’m a perfect bichon boy. She says I’m a sweet, loving gentle, smart and inquisitive bichon boy of about seven or eight, weighing all of eleven pounds, and that I’m just as affectionate as I can be. (You see I have already worked my charm on her – and I wasn’t even trying very hard!) When I came to Mom’s house, I was a little afraid. 	Kiki Female - Young I'm KiKi, a beautiful Bichon puppy of 7 months who weighs not quite 10 pounds and is quite a “girlie girl!” Mom says I’m as sweet as I am pretty – and as loving as can be. (Dad agrees ‘cause I have him wrapped around my cute little paws.) People are my favorite things in the whole world! I’m very friendly with everyone and love to give kisses. 	Nicholas Male - Young I’m Nicholas and, according to my foster Mom and Dad, I’m the most awesome, resilient, sensational and happy-go-lucky five year old bichon in the world! They say I’m adorable no matter what I’m doing. When you show me a favorite toy or my cart, I literally "jump for joy", lifting my 2 front feet off the ground and bouncing like a basketball. Another endearingly cute thing I do, if you are not paying enough attention to me (which RARELY happens, as you may well imagine), is I like to pull off Dad's socks. Read more »

	Sasha & Savannah Bonded Female Puppies We are Savannah and Sasha, a loving pair of bichon puppies who are happy, playful, affectionate and very sweet. We are inseparable, get along well with other dogs, and love people. I’m Savannah and I’m a few minutes older and a little bigger than Sasha. (I weigh only 12 pounds though and am fully grown.) 	Kirby Male - Adult I’m Kirby and I’m an angel with fur – or at least that’s what my foster mom thinks. She says I have eyes that sparkle like stars and the most amazing, angelic smile, a smile that lights up the room is how Mom describes it. 	Tommy Male - Adult Tumblin’ Tommy’s my name and tricks are my game. I’ve recently had to take my act on the road after a 6-year 'engagement' with my first family -- and a 5-year 'engagement' with my most recent family. Healing FurKids
Each week BFK takes in dogs that need extra medical care or who, without surgery, would be put to sleep. These pups are in loving foster homes where they are recovering.
